Introducing Honey Gold Harry!!

Piñata Farms are super excited to present our newest (and coolest) family member yet, Honey Gold Harry. He is fun, goofy, but most of all loyal! He is a great friend to have and is a proud Aussie. Harry is soon to have a couple of close friends join the Piñata family also, so stay tuned for their arrival!

Harry is excited to be here and to be a part of the Australian fresh produce industry. His message for all Aussies, especially the kids is, 'be healthy, be active and enjoy fresh Australian fruits and veggies!'.

Piñata Market and Production Update

November is always a really exciting month at Piñata because it means one thing - the first Honey Gold Mangoes for the season will be hitting the shelves!! Honey Gold production begins in Katherine in the Northern Territory in mid-November and continues down to Mataranka in the Northern Territory. Production from these two regions will last for about four weeks. There may be some early Queensland out of the Burdekin region that could sneak into late November as well.

Gavin Scurr - New AMIA Chairman

On Monday 19th September 2011, Gavin Scurr was officially elected as the chairman of the Australian Mango Industry Association (AMIA). Gavin was a board member of the industry for four years, in the position of ‘South Queensland Director’. He is excited about his new role within the industry and is looking forward to representing not only Piñata Honey Gold Mangoes, but all Australia mango varieties in Australia and also in international markets.

Piñata Strawberry 2011 Season Wrap Up

As of late September, the Pinata Strawberry season has officially come to an end. As the Queensland weather started to warm up, the berries began to be more ‘temperamental’. If the days are too warm, the quality of the berries is compromised.
The 2011 season was Piñata’s biggest and most successful strawberry season yet. Our berries were available in the market from May to the end of September and we had many comments on how delicious they were!
