Even Elephants Love Our Pines!

We know our Piñata Pineapples taste amazing - but now we even have confirmation from the animal kingdom! Every week Piñata Farms supplies Taronga Zoo, on the Sydney Harbour, with two tonnes of pineapple plants for the elephants to feed on. This "browse" is what the Thai people actually feed their elephants in Thailand, along with other sources of fresh browse. Gary Miller, Elephant Supervisor at Taronga Zoo explains, "It (pineapple plants) is a good browse source and contains Bromilin which is has been shown to help prevent arthritis. It is also a good source of natural Vitamin E".

Piñata Strawberries are FINALLY Here!

Yes, it is finally strawberry season again in Queensland and we kicked off our strawberry picking on May 18, starting with small volumes. Things are starting to ramp up very quickly with large volumes predicted to be harvested from the first week of June onwards. 

Here at Piñata we are starting the season in style with our new strawberry punnet labels! Look out for our berries in your local supermarket or independent green grocer! Our new product labelling includes a QR Code where a smart phone can scan the code to reveal more information about our delicious strawberries.
